Ecuador President Rafael Correa Will Not Seek Another Term in 2017

On the eve of his inauguration for another four-year term, Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa said Thursday that he will not run again in 2017.

“We are all necessary, but nobody is indispensable,” the 50-year-old head of state said in a television interview, expressing confidence that his Alianza Pais movement will have found a new leader by the time the next presidential election rolls around.

Taco Bell Sends Female “Celebrities” Rings, Odd Letters

Taco Bell appears to be wooing “a handful of special ladies” with gold rings that say “Taco” and “Bell,” but why?

Apparently, someone at the fast food chain spotted “models” who liked their food and simply obtained their address somehow and sent the gold rings along with letters.

Model Chrissy Teigen recently posted a photo on the rings and letter she received.

Her handwritten letter reads:

Chrissy,
A wise woman once said, “If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it.” We like you. So we wanted to give you this custom Taco Bell ring. Only a handful of special ladies like yourself are getting this ring, so treasure it. Hopefully, John is okay with out blossoming relationship. You’re funny, cool, and you like Taco Bell.

We’re not exactly sure who John is, but we’re assuming he is Chrissy’s boyfriend.

STUDY: Latino Teen Birth Rate Drop Dramatically

A new government study by the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics shows that teen birth rates have plummeted especially for Hispanic teen girls.

The teen birth rate from 1991 to 2011 dropped by 50 percent from every 62 birth per 1,000 teens to 31 births for every 1,000 teens. The decrease was equally dramatic from 2007 to 2011 – the most recent timeframe for the study.

Actress Eva Longoria Obtains Master’s Degree in Chicano Studies

Eva Longoria has just obtained a Master’s degree in Chicano Studies from California State University. The 38-year-old actress already holds an undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

The former ‘Desperate Housewives’ jetted out of the Cannes Film Festival after flashing a little too much skin to go to receive her diploma in person yesterday.

Santos has rejected Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona’s offer for star striker Neymar, senior officials with the Brazilian club said.

Santos Vice President Odilio Rodrigues told local media that the bid was not in the club’s interests after a meeting at the home of team President Luis Alvaro Ribeiro.

Nine-year-old Antonia Candelaria is the first Oklahoma tornado victim to be buried. The Plaza Towers third-grader lost her life on Monday when a EF-5 tornado hit Moore, Oklahoma leveling her school. The death toll stands at 24, 10 of which are children.

In Candelaria’s obituary the family describe the special friendship between Antonia and her best friend Emily Conatzer who also perished in the tornado.
