Video:  Selena Gomez Makes It Official there Will Be Season 2 of ’13 Reasons Why’ Despite Controversy


Controversy be damned!

Selena Gomez, executive producer of ’13 Reasons Why’ just announced that the teen drama show was returning for a second season. The show will debut in 2018 and offer 13 one-hour episodes.

Season One of the Netflix 13-episode web TV series premiered at the end of March, with all episodes available. The show was instantly popular and instantly controversial. The show deals with the delicate subject of teen suicide.

Many mental health experts were critical of the show and its handling of the main character Hannah Baker’s suicide, especially the depiction of the actual suicide.
