Maybe all of Demi Lovato’s fans thought they knew the name of her unnamed tour. But the 25-year-old performer officially named her upcoming tour “Tell Me You Love Me” – stating “This is the first time I say it out loud” - making the announcement today on the Ellen Degeneres Show.
So it’s official but not a surprise. Since “Tell me You Love Me” is the name of her most recent studio album that debuted last fall. The twelve track album came in strong hitting the No. 3 spot on the Billboard Charts.
The tour hits 20 cities kicking off in February and running through March, 2018. DJ Khaled and Kehlani will be joining the Latina superstar and who knows maybe Lil Wayne might make a surprise appearance since he is featured on the “Lonely” track.
Lovato also told Degeneres she was been busy last year “working on herself” and her powerful “Simply Complicated” documentary. The hit documentary chronicles Lovato’s struggles with addiction issues and her fight to stay clean. She is now enjoying nearly six years of sobriety but did reveal a relapse in her eating disorder.
Lovato blames her break-up with her long-term boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in 2016 for the relapse. The “Skycraper” singer noted:
“The first time I heart it [Tell Me You Love Me], it really stuck with me because at the time I was going through a breakup…It’s about the vulnerability of coming out of a very serious relationship and having a tough time with it.”
