Today in 1995 the multi-talented star Danna Paola was born as Danna Paola Rivera Mungia in Mexico City. The list of Paola’s professional accomplishments at the young age of 21-years-old is staggering. The pint size beauty has recorded several albums, starred in numerous kids TV shows, starred in telenovelas, done Disney voice overs and is Mexico’s very
own “Elphaba” in the Spanish-language of the play Wicked.
Paola was discovered at 4-years old in an open casting for Mexico’s version of Sesame Street and followed the well-known path to success that is enhanced with vocal and acting talents. She garnered international fame when she appeared in the children’s telenovela Maria Belen – the show appeared in 19 countries in Latin America. Her lead character was so beloved dolls were made in her image that instantly sold out.
The uber talented Mexican star has taken her success and expanded her brand with a fashion partnership with “Sexy Jeans” and becoming brand ambassador in Latin American for L’Oreal. She often graces People en Español’s Most Beautiful list. Paolo has also found a niche in voice overs for Spanish-language versions of popular Hollywood children movies like Tangled and Toy Story 3.
Paola has found the most success in music as a former singer for musical groups like Grupo Cicion and Carminantes. Demi Lovato usually calls for her to serve as her opening act when she performs in Mexico. Currently the Mexican star is looking at different Hollywood movies to expand her Latin American domination to a global level.
