There doesn’t seem to be a movie these days that does not include the talents of 39-year-old Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez. Currently you can see him alongside Matthew McConaughey in Gold playing the hunky geologist Michael Aosta, a couple of weeks ago he wrapped up filming Bright – Netflix’s first big budget film project. Last year was just as busy for Ramirez who starred in four films including playing the mysterious Dr. Kamal Abdic on The Girl on the Train.
Ramirez, like many other Latin American actors got his acting chops in telenovelas but quickly made his way to Hollywood. The multi-linguistic actor has starred in a wide range of movies that include: The Bourne Ultimatum, Joy and Zero Dark Thirty.
The busy actor was born in San Cristobal and aspired to be a diplomat. He currently resides in Panama without a significant other. He is “single but hopeful” and has been linked to Zero Dark Thirty co-star Jessica Chastain and Ana de Armas the Cuban actress and his co-star in Hands of Stone.
What next for Ramirez?
Last week it was announced he will be starring alongside Penelope Cruz in the dark comedy Love Child.
