Little after 5pm yesterday, a traffic cop of the municipality of Monterrey, Nuevo León was ambushed by an armed group while he was working transit on Lincoln St.
The armed men open fire against the officer, killing him almost instantly.
In a matter of minutes, authorities showed up at the scene, ans an investigation has been opened.
The victim has been identified as Octavio Rodríguez Sánchez.
Several particular vehicles that transited in the area were witnesses to the gruesome attack; they said thugs in an SUV just executed the man for no reason, without saying anything, and fled after the officer was down.
