Suspected Leader of La Familia Arrested

The Secretary of Public Security (SSP) reported that they arrested Alberto Morales Aguilar last Friday in Tumbiscatio.  Aguilar is allegedly one of the leaders to the cartel “La Familia.”

SSP reported that Aguilar, who also goes by the alias of Hunter, was arrested on February 4th.  After the arrest of former leader, Sergio Moreno Godinez on November 16, 2010, Aguilar was assigned as head of the El Amarillo controlled land in Acalpican and Playa Azul. 

Aguilar was found with two firearms in his possession as well as two pieces of communication equipment, which was all given to the public prosecutor affiliated to the Office of Special Investigations on Organized Crime (SIEDO).
