NARCO BLOG: Town Pleads for Help as Two Cartels Battle- 20 Dead

This week there was a clash between rival groups of drug cartels in the town of Abasolo, Tamaulipas.

Authorities report that members of both the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, battled and have confirmed that 18 gunmen were killed in the shootout.

Sources report that were actually 20 men who died at the scene, and were primarily from the group of Los Zetas.

” We want to communicate that we want peace, tranquility in Abasolo.  The Tamaulipas state government cannot do anything to help us, every day we live in fear. We want the Tamaulipas of past. , The Mexico we had before The Tamaulipas Governor of Safety came. We want safety in municipalities; we want the police and army to bring security. Not to just stop by but to stay and bring security. GOD BLESS. “
