NARCO BLOG: Sinaloa Cartel Welcomes New Police Chief with Tortured Body

With the recent appointment of Julian Leyzaola Perez as new head of the Municipal Police in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, yesterday the local drug cartel left a “welcome message” along with a tortured man who remained alive.

Authorities found the tortured man near the church San Felipe Jesus. The man had multiple gunshot wounds and clear signs of torture on his body.  Bound with masking tape and covered with a blanket on the body was a narcomessage

The text said the following:

” Welcome to Juarez Julian Leysola this is your first gift and these will continue. The Sinaloa cartel. “

It is unknown whether the injured man has managed to survive the attack.

Since last Thursday, the lieutenant colonel of Infantry Staff, Julian Leyzaola, is in charge of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat of Ciudad Juárez taking on the challenge of controlling the violence plaguing the border town.
