NARCO BLOG: Police Being Shot in Acapulco Streets (Warning Graphic Photos)

Around 11:00 am Thursday, an officer of the Municipal Auxiliary Police was shot by an armed commando in Acapulco.

The incident took place between the streets Vallarta and Nuevo Leon, in the colony Progreso, outside a pharmacy. The body of Juan Uriostegui Albarran, 44, was found outside the store, having been shot several times in the body, he died instantly.

Authorities from different police forces cordoned off the crime scene and conducted search operations in the area, however they were not able to capture the gunmen.

The body was taken to the amphitheater where an autopsy will be performed by law.
