The Attorney General’s Office burned 22 tons of marijuana related to 43 criminal investigations of drug crimes.
Authorities report that a total of 22 tons of marijuana, as well 372 grams and 800 milligrams of cocaine had been destroyed in the fire.
The burning took place at the shooting range and Fishing facility in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, in compliance with the Program for Destruction of Narcotics.
The event was attended by authorities of the Border Patrol, the U.S. Embassy Mexico and the Internal Control staff of the Attorney General’s Office.
