Today, February 24 marks the one-year anniversary of the day that that war was officially declared between the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas. This war has left thousands dead, with no end in sight.

Narcobanners, uprisings, shootings, press releases, videos, interrogations, massacres, members who are tortured, executed, dismembered, ... are all part of what makes up the territorial fight every day by these two Cartels, especially in the states of Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas.

Yesterday many vehicles marked with the initials CDG, XXX and M3 arrived in the town of Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas.Image

For several days now, people in the town of Valle Hermoso have remained locked in their homes. The area was declared a war zone, police and military never came.

While in the state of Nuevo León similar events also occurred, executions began to increase, as well as other violent acts that made the population panic.

Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel were one team for many years but in 2009 they broke up. In early 2010 ,violence escalated when the two cartels declared war.
