Narco Blog: Killers Lead Wife to Body of Husband

Yesterday, Friday the 13th, elements of Civil Protection and Fire, were involved in a rescue maneuver, after they received reports that a vehicle was inside the Canal Humaya, Culiacan, Sinaloa.

After nearly two hours divers finally found the vehicle. In the trunk remained the body of a man, just as the offenders had told his wife.  The wife of the victim reported the man missing, however she then received a call alerting her to the place where she would find him. The wife then called authorities who mobilized to the site.

The gunmen also told the victims wife that they had painted a line of lime and recommend she follow the mark into the water as the vehicle was there.  The victim is identified as Luis Fernando Correa, who had been missing 11 days.

Staff from the Medical Examiner arrived and moved the body to the amphitheater, where they will perform the autopsy.
