Narco Blog: Executed Man Pulled from River ( Warning Explicit Photos)

Violence is on the increase in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero. Citizens complain it no longer feel safe and more Police are needed on the streets. The body of a male person was found floating in the Laguna de Las Salinas yesterday. Authorities received an anonymous call during the day alerting them that there was a body floating in the water. Members of the Municipal Police, State Police personnel from the Navy, and Army quickly guarded the area.

Authorities said the man was of dark complexion, and naked. He had suffered a gunshot to the head.  Personnel of the Service Medical Examiner picked up the body and hours later the body was identified. The victim was identified as Martin Gonzalez Godinez, 35 years old, who was captain of the boat Mandil. The mother of the executed was responsible for identifying, stating that her son went to work last night the night before last but did not return home.
