NARCO BLOG: Assassins Storm Hospital in Search of Minor Lone Survivor of Shootout

In Ciudad Juarez, four people were shot during yesterday as they drove on Avenida Road, among the victims was a woman and a child under 10 years of age.

But it was not known if there were any survivors of the attack, until hours later it was reported that a 14 year old had survived, although he was injured.

The boy was taken to the Hospital General de Zona No. 35. The information was protected, although it reached the ears of members of organized crime, who entered the hospital and began to shoot their weapons.

The gunmen were in search of a minor, but the staffs of the hospital and patients were victims of the assassin’s bullets.  The Hospital was closed for about an hour, this was confirmed by Rosendo Gaytan, a spokesman for the IMSS, as well as Arturo Sandoval, a spokesman for the Attorney General.

It is unknown if the boy remains in protective custody, what his health status is etc as authorities are keeping total secrecy in the case.
