Narco Blog: 27 Narco Banners Appear of Zetas “Calling Out” Rival Cartel

Many Narcobanners appeared this morning in the state of Nuevo León, around 5:40 am; Unknown men arrived at different places and put blankets containing the same message to CDG from the Los Zetas Gulf Cartel.

There were 27 Narcobanners, which all appeared in important avenues of Monterrey, Apodaca, Escobedo, San Nicolas, Guadalupe, Santa Catarina, Caderereyta, and Juarez.

The banners remained in public sight for several hours, although in some places early on there were elements of the Municipal Police guarding some sites.

Also in the town of Linares, Nuevo León Narcobanners reports were, placed in at a supermarket and local schools.
Before they were withdrawn the Narcobanners, Jorge Domene Zambrano, a spokesman for the Security of the Government of Nuevo Leon, and had given statements, ” Blankets displaying messages calling for a challenge from one Cartel have been displayed around town. We need to be very careful in order to know exactly where we need to be intervening to prevent such incidents, “he said.
However, some blankets were placed in front of facilities that are supposed to be guarded, such as the City Hall of San Nicolas, as well as Juarez and Cadereyta, they also placed one in front of the C-5.
