NARCO BLOG: 13 Members of Sinaloa Cartel Captured in Baja California

This weekend it was reported that 13 members of the Sinaloa cartel were captured by elements of the State Police in the state of Baja California.

Carlos Alberto Gomez, deputy director of the Police Department, said that among the detainees was a whole family who was carrying out criminal actions under the support of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The large cartel arrests were made possible by three operations run simultaneously, in Playas de Rosarito and Ensenada, Baja California .

Among those captured is Marcial Morán Blanco, who is a friend of Eduardo Guajardo Hernandez. Hernandez has a price on his head of 3 million dollars from the Attorney General’s Office for information leading to his whereabouts.

Those arrested were identified as:

Claudia Elena Matus-Baro.

Baro-Morán Cristian Marcial.

Claudia Gabriela Morán-Baro.

Jasmine Ritchie, Alexis Lopez.

Víctor González-Sanabia.

Raúl González-Gurrola.

-Raymundo Bautista Morones.

Rubén Gil-Baro.

Jorge Octavio Ulloa-García.

Sharo Ricardo Zamudio-Ruiz.

Morán, Ricardo Rojas.

Pedro Damián Ruiz.

With those captured, police also confiscated three weapons, cartridges, magazines, 20 kilograms of marijuana, 290 grams of heroin, 39 grams of Ice, $4,000,232 U.S. dollars, a thousand 300 pesos, communication radios and other documents.
