The Attorney General’s Office confirmed the discovery of a clandestine grave in the town of Durango. In total, 10 bodies were exhumed bringing the total number of bodies discovered in Narco-graves to 282 since April 2011.
In a statement, the state agency said the discovery was made on Wednesday Dec 14th. It was the Army who uncovered the graves and led the excavations.
The municipalities where mass graves have been found so far are: Durango, Lerdo, Cuencamé, San Juan del Rio and Santiago Papasquiaro, so far, only 25 of the 282 persons found on such sites have been identified.
The first discovery in the city of Durango, has been attributed to members of the Sinaloa cartel who are believed to be responsible for the murders.
