Malfavon Gustavo Herrera, aka El Guapo Operator of La Familia Michoacana

A statement by the federal Public Security reported that they have captured Malfavon Gustavo Herrera, aka El Guapo, who serves as an operator for La Familia Michoacana.

The arrest took place in Uruapan earlier this week. The 41-year-old is allegedly responsible for sending the synthetic drug known as Ice to the United States.

Official reports indicate that El Guapo personally brought in about 20 kilograms of the synthetic drug into the United States.

He reported directly to Ignacio Andrade Renteria, better known as El Cenizo, and who is chief of The Family in Uruapan.

In the arrest operation, police also seized a 40-caliber pistol, granular powder with the characteristics of ice, cocaine, Volkswagen Golf, 2011 model, and other documentation.
