Investigation confirmed for alleged links with drug traffickers to Los Tucanes de Tijuana

The Mexican Secretary of Public Safety, Leyzaola Julian Perez, confirmed a criminal investigation against members of Los Tucanes de Tijuana and their Representative, Mario Quintero, into alleged criminal ties to an attack from November 2009. During the attack, criminals attacked using Trucks Cloned after the Mexican Army and tried to assassinate the Secretary.

The Investigation began when the authorities found videotape showing the singers being at the location where the military vehicles were cloned. They were the exact vehicles used in the Assassination attempt against the Mexican Secretary of Public Safety.

Since November last year, the manager, Mario Quintero has been warned that the singers could not play in Tijuana due to their links with the narco gangs, reminded the secretary.

” I Told Mr. Quintero, ‘You are not going to play while I am Secretary of Security of Tijuana, You can not play here Because You Are narco’ “I said.

In the videotape of the meeting linking Los Tucanes de Tijuana to the attack, the musicians tell Arellano Felix and Malthus Be that they send their greetings and hope to see them soon.

The spot of the meeting and truck cloning was also a scene in the singer’s song ‘narcocorrido’.

In order to make this video, the musicians would have to be in contact with the Criminals who were organizing the assassination attempt.

Perez stated that during the two years he has Been Tijuana Public Safety Secretary, there have been 5 assassination attempts on his life, the last one involving these trucks made to look like the Mexican Army trucks.

Organized crime has also tried to kill him with poisoned fruit juice, by planting explosives in their offices, with a bazooka and the first time in an ambush.
