Blog del Narco: “The Star” Arrested in Jalisco, Wanted for Murder, and Drug Distribution

Jalisco state police have arrested Rosalina Ochoa Carrillo, nicknamed “The Star”; She is the alleged leader of the New Generation Jalisco Cartel in the Valles region of Jalisco. She was travelling with another cartel member’s girlfriend, Victoriano Lopez Torres.

The two people were arrested on the road to San Isidro Mazatepec up to the town of Navajas.

Detainees were in possession of an AK-47, two .45 pistols, a .32 caliber pistol, 226 cartridges of various calibers, a tactical vest, 250 bundles of glass, a bag of cocaine and where driving a luxury yellow Hummer vehicle. 

According to initial investigations, this woman controlled the distribution and sale of drugs in the Valleys region and could be linked to the murder of police commander of Magdalena, Raul Hinojosa last August and the police chief of San Martin Hidalgo, Casimiro Guerrero Zarate.
