Blog del Narco: Nephew of “La Mona” Executed in Mexico

Police have identified the nephew of Román Antonio Miranda, alias “La Mona,” as one of the three young men executed and abandoned at the side of the Mexico-Acapulco highway.
The nephew of “La Mona,” Jose Trinidad Mena Mendez, 22, was executed along with Alexander Pineda Zamudio, 24, and Oscar Leon Horacio de la Rocha, 36, originating in Jojutla.
According to ministry officials, Jose Trinidad was also recognized as the head of the Place de La Familia Michoacana in the southern part of the state, so he was in charge of ordering “levantones” (abductions), in addition to controlling the sale and transfer of drug.
Jose Trinidad, Oscar Alexander and Horace were found shot to death, bound hand and foot, and left to one side of the Mexico-Acapulco highway, at km 125, up to deviation to Ixtla Bridge, where we found 14 .9 mm caliber shell casings.
