Blog del Narco: Monterrey Fires 80 Police for Failing “Confidence Test”

By failing the tests of confidence, 80 police personnel from Nuevo Leon’s capital will be let go immediately the mayor Arellanes Margarita Cervantes reported.

He explained that the local administration gave the test on the first of November, it was determined that the examinations were successfully passed by only 320 of the 400 municipal police.

He also said that currently the local police are being assisted by 90 members of the Navy (Semar), commanded by Admiral Augusto Cruz Morales, Municipal Public Security Secretary.

However, it is expected that an intensive campaign of recruitment, will begin as the requirements is for 800-city policeman.
