A clandestine grave in the state of Guerrero was found by members of the state ministerial police and experts from the Medical Examiner (Semefo), who have already discovered the remains of five bodies.
The finding was confirmed by the authorities on Monday, after the Attorney General (PGJ) of Guerrero ordered conducting a search operation.
An arrest has been made but PGJ has not revealed the identity. The suspect told police that the grave contains at least human remains of 10 people.
