4 More Murders in Acapulco, Including one Police Officer

It was a bloody Thursday for the port of Acapulco, after three men were discovered killed by members of an organized crime group.

Police were called to the Mexico-Acapulco highway area known as La Cima, where they found a man that had several bullet wounds in the body and clear signs of torture.

Inside a white vehicle that parked outside a garage, Police found the body of a man identified as Epifanio Rodriguez Salazar, 41 years old.

Hours later, another man that had been executed was found in the back seat of a blue Sentra car, the victim was bound hand and had also been tortured.

A few yards away we found a taxi that had about 20 bullet holes, at the intersection of Las Cruces. Relatives were able to identify the victim as Gonzalo Rojas Fernandez, 31, who worked as a taxi driver.

Authorities said that around 16:00 hours, a Policeman was attacked by a group of assassins that circulated on the Scenic Highway.

Red Cross paramedics took him to a hospital where he died of his wounds.

The policeman that was killed has been identified as Jose Raul Mendoza Marquez, 42 years old.
