Sofia Vergara Wants You to Buy her Underwear

Sofia Vergara is looking to enhance her estimated $50 million annual earnings by trying to persuade you to buy her underwear. No you dirty bird – not her used under wear but “seamless” panties designed not to slide or ride up.

The Colombian beauty is partnering with fellow Colombian Renata Black – a social enterprise entrepreneur – on this E-commerce subscription venture geared to the active woman. The Colombian duo created Eby to offer a box of unmentionables that will arrive on front doors monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly, depending on your need for new panties.

Eby will officially launch on September 25 and offer different style of chones including thongs, g-string and boyshirt panties ranging in size from XS to 4X. Sorry no crotchless panties at least not yet. 10 percent of sales will be donated to Black’s social enterprise Seven Bar Foundation. The foundation raises money to empower women globally by providing microfinancing for small business ventures through lingerie.

Yes we know the power of panties to raise money is indeed a unique marketing concept and one Vergara is banking on. Black and Vergara have worked together on the high profile lingerie shows Seven Bar Foundation puts together in New York and Miami.

This is not Vergara’s first venture selling clothes she had a short-lived collaboration with Kmart that survived four-years. And of course if the underwear business doesn’t pan out Vergara always has her day job playing Gloria Pritchett on the award-winning Modern Family TV series, a series that pays her $500,000 per episode. She also endorses a slew of products making her one of the highest paid television actress annually.
