States Asking Government for Access to Immigrant Database

Officials in Texas joined together on July 18 to seek access to an immigration database to ensure that no noncitizens are voting in this year's elections. According to the Houston Chronicle, the state's Secretary of State, Esperanza Andrade, drafted a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano urging her to allow access to the database, which is alleged to contain more than 100 million records of immigrants. continue reading »
