The former garage space was converted to a rock club and was visited by Chicago police this weekend. Juan Romero of the Humboldt Park neighborhood, residing at 1500 N. Oakley Avenue, has been sentenced for shooting at police in 2008. 20-year old Romero was in the Logan Square neighborhood the evening of December 4, 2008 when he shot at a police officer injuring him in the shoulder. continue reading »

FIRE:  (Logan Square) Fireman Injured in Early Morning Blaze

A fire broke out in the Logan Square neighborhood at 2342 N. Kedzie Avenue at 1:30 a.m. resulting in an injured Chicago fire fighter. Sources are reporting the firefighter sustained a broken ankle and was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. No one else is being reported as injured. continue reading »
