Catholic ‘Oscar’ Awarded to ‘Modern Family’ and Emilio Estevez’s ‘The Way’

ABC’s hit comedy series, ‘Modern Family,’ received the Catholics in Media Associates 2012 television award. Also known as the “Catholic Oscar,” this year’s CIMA Award recipient came as a shock to many as the show depicts the lifestyle of a married gay couple, an issue which the Catholic Church opposes. continue reading »
