Residents should be aware of a recent Deceptive Practice-Con Game. This incident occurred on August 7, 2011 at approximately 10:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 60th Street. Two offenders knocked on the home of a senior citizen and claimed they damaged her garage. The senior accompanied one offender to the garage and discovered no damage. Overnight Shootings Leaves 4 dead, 13 Wounded – One Victim from Back of the Yards

Police are reporting that last night in separate shooting incidents 4 people were killed while another 13 were wounded. The Back of the Yards murder victim has been identified as 28 year old Beto Rodriguez. He was shot Sunday morning at approximately 3:00 a.m. at the 4900 block of South Wolcott.
